6 Months!

On Wednesday, Liam turned 6 months old! (this was a landmark in my brain, because it seemed like around 6 months with Charlotte, everything started kicking into High Fun Gear...sitting up, playing more...etc. Not to discount the 1st 6 months, but it was just a marker in my mind before he was born: If we can just get to 6 months things will get really fun).

And things are definitely really fun around here. :D Liam is rolling over on both sides, not hating tummy time, aaaalmost sitting up by himself without falling over, smiling and cooing and squealing all of the time unless he's hungry and then he gets a little antsy. He loves -repeat, loves- eating, and he has been sleeping through the night for 2 months now!! Basically he's doing GREAT. He is such a joy to be around and instantly cheers you up with his sweet and happy self. (much like his sister if she's not pitching a fit :p)

6 month stats from the doctor this morning are in: He's back on the chart weight-wise (considering he was technically "off" the chart in weight at the 4 month visit) and is just below the 95% at 19 pounds 10.5 ounces. He's just above the 95% in height at 29 inches long. Head circ is big right now at somewhere between 70-95%...we figure he'll grow into this giganto thing eventually. Let me just say for Liam's future wife's reassurance that it was not that big when he was born. :D

I know comparing boys and girls is like apples and oranges, but just so you can appreciate the difference...at 6 months old, Charlotte was 16 pounds and 27 inches long. At 10 months old, Charlotte was 20 pounds and walking already. Not that I'm rushing him, but Liam is gonna need to hurry up and walk b/c I can't carry him around much longer!! I'm definitely at my strongest upper body strength ever!!

Okay, Mr. Man is up from his morning nap and probably wanting some extra love after those 3 shots, so bye for now! Pictures next time, I promise :D

Liam looks like the kind of kid that all the other kids will want to have as their friend. Really nice guy, easy-going, laughs alot... but big enough to get your back if you've got a bully problem. I can also see him ready to crush anybody who whistles at his high heeled lawn mowing sister, too. She is a trip.
